Recycled Rolled Magazine Valance

There are old magazines in our rack that have no use at all. Instead of throwing it, why not do some recycled crafts out of that. You can make a curtain, a photo frame design, valance, and a lot more crafty items that you would love. Here is a very easy project as your reference :)

Text Scams and The Fake Promises - Do not Fall to be Their Next Victim!

I recently received several text scams about winning from a certain raffle draws, being given rebates as a loyal subscriber, and a lot more different stories. I normally delete the messages and don't bother myself to reply. I just ignore and delete it. I am thinking how do these people do these acts of scamming innocent mobile users? Oh, well maybe really a sort of their money-generating tactics is to make people believe about their best promise. However, it's quite alarming because almost daily, I am receiving different text for my globe and smart postpaid. My question is, how do these scammers get a list of postpaid subscribers? I know that it's a targeted text because I never received the same texts at my prepaid globe and smart extra SIMs.

How to deal with them? I think the only way is to IGNORE. Do not dare to answer or text-back, you will definitely hear new story like how-to-claim the prize, how to get the surprise gift, how to activate the codes, and the like. People must be clever enough to handle these never-ending text-scams. Well, this is just a lower version of email spam. People should be aware and learn. However, there are still lot of fellow Filipinos fall victimized :(...

If the text come a suspicious sender, check it out. Text promos require you to register using a special given number given by the Telecom Service Provider. It's a special 3-4 numbers, and not a regular 11-digit number (e.g.. 2366, 357, 2477, etc.) Of course, if its a promo, you should be fully aware of it, right? So if a text comes in and says, “Congrats, your mobile number won P1M”, don’t get too excited especially if you didn’t join any contest via text. Just if in case you really joined a certain promo and waiting for the result, there's a notification thru phone call and a registered is mail being sent to the home address. NOT thru TEXT.

Do not believe that the texter is an Attorney or a true lawyer in practice. It's a traditional way of introducing a higher personality to quickly penetrate and deal with the agenda. However, reality wise, an Attorney always have a Secretary to deal with people, so as the Directors of certain organizations, don't believe that you are so special to be contacted personally by higher personalities. This is not to make you feel down-graded but just a mere fact.

Don’t be a victim  and know a scam texts when you receive one. Report the number which appeared on their text messages to the service provider. Block the numbers, delete the message right away. Be clever. be more wise than the predators! Don't let your hard-earned money be wasted.

Holiday Treat - Sago't Gulaman

Sago't Gulaman

I saw this cool desert as featured by Ms. Jessica Soho at her own program Kapuso mo, Jessica Soho. Trying the recipe was full of fun and enjoy. Another sort of bonding with the while family.

1. Cook the gelatin, there's an instructions at the back of each packaging. It depends on the brand to be used.

2. Boil water in the casserole. Put the sago, stir occasionally until it's cooked.

I used brown sugar, as nutritionists say it's healthier than the refined one :) 

It's very easy to prepare. Mix everything and Hola! You will be deligted and refreshed.

Teach your digital kids to organize their things. Start with their own toys.

Moms, it's really a big challenge for us to teach our loving kids about the house hold chores particularly organization of their toys. Well, you can take it slowly and consider like they are playing while learning :)

These Barbie Dolls, they got to have home.  This is our successful project and I'm happy to share to all moms and kids out there!

Special thanks to Dada who have such a good talent to do the carpentry works of this doll house and cabinet, make up dresser and the lamp shade stand. I love the way you supported me on this project ♥

Reducing Waste Starts at Home

Let us protect mother earth. Families can participate with this advocacy because we can help to reduce wastes and garbage if we segregate our trash according to categories. You can collect plastics, tin cans, metal, carton and more. But what shall you do with the decomposing waste? At home, what I do is drying these wet garbage like fruits and vegetables. After drying it, I mix it with soil to decompose and all these garbage become a soil also. This soil is perfect for my mini-garden. Try it at home. Nakapagreduce ka na ng basura, nakatulong ka pa mundo :)

Recycling Idea - Sew Recycled Colorful Buttons

It's my kids' summer vacation. No schooling and they are vacant to help me out. It's cleaning time for us :),,, I found a lot of clothes which we no longer needed. Before I dispose it or turn the old clothes into rags, I remove all the buttons which I think I can use for decorating stuff. Here we go, I managed to collect a lot and a variety of colorful buttons. I sew it on white shirt and form a design like a shout-out! You can make your design as well depending on the quantity of the old buttons that you may collect. Designs vary, depending on what you want :), you can make a flower, an initial letter of your name, and a lot more!

Sew the buttons instead of gluing it. It's more durable for cloth.

Ask Your Child to Describe You as a Mother

#Throwback :)

I saw this piece that I saved on my drive three years ago. Natuwa lang ako. By that time kasi, I was thinking, how does a seven year-old daughter would describe me as a mother.

I was surprised as in :) ♥. She used paint to draw this image. Super Mom - as if she knows what does it exactly mean? Oh well, maybe she understands that I wake up early in the morning, prepares their food for her and the siblings, do the household chores, perform the laundry, work part-time online, stay late at night for blogging, and more! I don't really know, maybe not yet. Maybe she is just thinking na Super Mom nga ako :)

Salute to all moms! Di porke't nasa bahay lang tayo, ay wala tayong ginagawa. In-fact, tayo ang walang pahinga. 24/7 Gising tayo. Walang exact routine. Laging time-in, pero walang time-out.

Walang rest-day at higit sa lahat, walang sweldo. We are doing everything out of love to our family.
