Let’s face it! We work hard but the salary is not enough. Expenses are always bigger than what we get. Even we try our best effort to budget and save, it’s still negative. That’s the reason why most mothers always look for any opportunities to earn extra. In the Philippines, there are more opportunities of earning extra-income and we call it “side-line”.
Pinay Moms are different in their own ways. Generally most are business minded who can turn trash into cash. Be it small or big amount, it still can help the family. If you happened to be laid-off from work or you resigned because of any reason, it’ll be another chapter of your life. The next day you wake up with household chores and typical routines like cleaning the house, washing the dishes, doing the laundry and a lot more!!! At home, it’s a never ending task from dawn till sunset.
In between you also can earn some money at home. It depends on your passion, desire, expertise, and of course, your market and capital. Here are some ideas for you to consider:
1. Having a mini sari-sari store to cater your neighbors. You can have it just in front of your house or build a small booth that you can put in there everything. Normally should be primary necessities for everyday needs.
2. Join direct selling companies and earn 25-50% from their products. Find one that allows you to have terms like one month to pay. At least, you can sell the products first, collect payments then remit after deducting your earnings.
3. Sell delicacies, breakfast meals, lunch or snacks. If you are located in a nice place with walking traffic, then it’s a good idea.
4. Techy and have the guts to offer an online services? It’s a good choice nowadays, because more mothers or stay-at-home moms can work online and take care of the household chores in between. You can check some websites that offer legit jobs to avoid yourself from being scammed.
5. You also can consider gardening as another source of income. If you have an extra space at your backyard, planting fast-growing crops will generate food for the family or even make some bucks for selling well-grown vegetables, or seedlings, ornaments. It’s quite long process but if you start today, you have something to harvest tomorrow.
